Why I Do This Work
When I was younger, I was drawn to working with ammonia refrigeration. Everyone needs to eat, and ammonia refrigeration is a critical part of the food industry, so I knew it offered stability and purpose. I was also fortunate to have people in my life who explained the mechanics of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration to me, and I became fascinated by how these systems work.

Over the years in the ammonia industry, I’ve gained a deep understanding of the hazards involved and the importance of addressing issues safely and correctly when they arise. You can be lucky for a long time, but all it takes is one moment of thinking, “It’s not going to happen to me,” for everything to change. That understanding is what drives my commitment to safety, training, and helping others protect both people and operations.
